Identify and Eliminate Postural Issues Causing Pain

What is Posture Therapy?

If you are like the majority of clients, you’ve tried multiple modalities to end your pain and you are probably at the end of your rope. With the vast majority of those cases, we simply need to alter our focus and concentrate on cause-driven therapy rather than symptom-driven therapy. Most clients forget that pain is your body’s only way of communicating with you and is simply alerting you to the fact that something is not quite right! Studies have shown that pain, both chronic and acute, is due to misalignment in the body as it loses it’s designed posture. The human body is designed to move!

Posture Therapy uses a series of gentle “stretches” and exercises (e-cises) put in a certain order for each individual to help them overcome their lack of function and/or pain. Restriction of activities and the presence of pain are the end result of the body’s inability to move in a coordinated and naturally supportive manner. This method helps to re-educate the body to return to normal alignment and function. It is a unique and effective program designed to treat musculoskeletal pain without drugs or surgery.

What we offer:

One on one therapy is directed toward helping YOU understand and gain the tools to restore YOUR body back to how it was designed. The muscles tell the bones what to do and the nervous system runs the show. We take a look at your posture, run you through some functional testing, and design a “menu” of exercises to be done on a daily basis.

Questions we hear most frequently:

How often do I do the exercises? Answer: Most clients do the exercises once per day. Some do them twice per day. Posture Therapy is designed to systematically and methodically chip away at your dysfunctions and compensations. By doing your daily exercises, you are giving your body the positive stimuli that it needs to restore you to proper alignment and eliminate pain!

How long will it take to get out of pain? Answer: All of our clients respond differently and on different timelines. The body has an amazing ability to heal itself. Your body also did not get into its current position overnight, and it probably won’t get out of it overnight. Posture Therapy is a process,  but the goal is to help you feel better quickly and know things are improving.

Can I still see my Chiropractor or Massage Therapist? Answer: YES! We encourage you! Here at Complete Health & Wellness we believe in the whole body approach and feel that you deserve a team effort. With that being said, with Posture Therapy we are teaching you a “hands off” approach that educates you on what you can do to eliminate your pain.
